In October, Har’el launched Free the Work, a talent discovery database that makes it easy for studios, production companies, and the like to find underrepresented creators including filmmakers, colorists, editors, writers, and more.
I myself run a nonprofit that's called Free the Work. If you go on it and register as an emerging filmmaker, you can become part of a community and get a lot of opportunities for hire but also have mentorship.
Har’el doesn’t just talk the talk on social media. The director, who began her career working on music videos, advocates on behalf of women directors through her nonprofit, Free the Work, an online database for directors from underrepresented groups.
Free the Work is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and all donations are tax deductible.
