Kezia Tomsett is a film composer, composer's assistant and writer. She creates sweeping soundscapes, combining the acoustic and electro-acoustic into a cinematic experience, heightened by the use of her own voice in rich, ethereal textures and thematic melodies. Kezia works with both orchestral and electronic music, drawing from her training in classical music theory and practice.

Kezia uses music composition to match the sound identity with the subject matter. Whether an ad for confections or cosmetics, she uses drama and suspense to lead the audience through the story.

In this latest edition of our video interview series Long Story Short, Kezia talks to us about inner confidence, developing a creative identity and challenging the ingrained image of what a composer looks like.
